ULTRASONOGRAPHY
In our center; Ultrasonography and Color Doppler Ultrasonography examinations are performed with “GE E6”, one of the most advanced devices of General Elektrik company .
Nowadays, Black and White and Color Doppler Ultrasonography is frequently used:
It is used in a wide area, from examining the great vessels that carry blood to the brain, evaluating the organs in the abdomen, monitoring the baby's development in pregnancy, and examining whether the baby and the mother are at risk.
Undoubtedly, follow-up and evaluation in pregnancy is one of the most needed areas.
We have been serving our region in this regard for years.
ULTRASOUND IN PREGNANCY TRACKING
Obcetric ultrasound (normal 2D pregnancy ultrasound done from the abdomen): It is the most applied type of ultrasound in every month of pregnancy. It is applied by the obstetricians who follow you.
3D ultrasound: 3D ultrasound shows the baby's photos, face etc. to the family in three dimensions.
4D ultrasound: Unlike the 3D ultrasound, here the baby is watched in motion. In other words, 3D ultrasound shows the baby as a photograph, and in 4D ultrasound, we can see the baby as we watched in the video below. But quality images cannot always be obtained. For this, it is important whether the mother is overweight, the amount of amniotic fluid, the position of the baby at that time and the week of pregnancy.
We will give you all the images in a CD, but if you intend to keep it as a souvenir, you should know that it will be difficult to get quality 4D images in the last months of pregnancy.
Doppler ultrasound: It does not need to be applied in every pregnancy, it is needed in the presence of some risky situations. By measuring the blood flow in the blood vessels going to the baby gives an idea about the baby's well-being.
The best ultrasound examination to investigate the presence of anomaly in the baby is a detailed (two-dimensional, black and white) ultrasound examination. 3-dimensional ultrasonography or 4-dimensional ultrasonography is not synonymous with detailed ultrasound, but it is often thought to be the same among the people. 3-dimensional ultrasonography or 4-dimensional ultrasonography is performed to enable mothers and their relatives to see the baby in motion, most of the time only It has commemorative value.
Detailed (detailed) ultrasound examination:
Detailed ultrasonography or detailed ultrasonography or advanced (second level) ultrasonography are all used interchangeably.
In addition to the ultrasonography performed by obstetricians in normal pregnancy follow-up, it is performed to investigate whether there is a congenital anomaly (disability) in the baby between 17-23 weeks of pregnancy.
Normally, about 2-3% of all pregnancies have a birth defect.
The review takes about 20-30 minutes. It is normally done once in each pregnancy.
What is important in detailed ultrasonography is that an expert experienced in pregnancy and ultrasonography (who has gained experience in perinatology, or radiology branches on the subject) makes the evaluation.
During this examination, every organ of the baby is examined in detail. In addition, the baby's water and placenta (baby's spouse) and development are evaluated.
In detailed examination an important organ is the heart. Since the heart is both moving on its own and the baby is moving at that time, it is the most difficult organ to examine and detect problems. For this reason, it is important that the examination be performed by an experienced specialist.
Is every anomaly determined with detailed ultrasound? There is no method that can detect 100% of the anomalies in the baby. There may be problems that it can and cannot show at the end of ultrasound. Because some anomalies can be detected on ultrasound_cc781905-cfcf581394- It develops later in the month after the ultrasound is done.
What then is the purpose of doing it?To detect anomalies that can be detected in ultrasonography. The most important point here is whether detected anomalies will require immediate intervention for the baby after birth . If there is a problem that requires immediate intervention for the baby after birth, precautions are taken in the delivery room and hospital . At the same time, in case of detection of problems incompatible with life; The family has the right to terminate the pregnancy.

When you have a detailed ultrasound, you should definitely ask your doctor for the report containing the results of the procedure, the black and white images of the baby taken during the examination, and the 4-dimensional ultrasound images.
