In our center, all kinds of X-rays are taken, especially HSG scans.
HSG (hysterosalpingography) : It is known as a tube film among patients. It is an important examination in the evaluation of infertility. With this method, it is understood whether the tubes necessary for pregnancy are open or not, and if so, the level of blockage. In addition, space-occupying formations such as myoma, polyp, adhesions in the uterus are revealed. In addition, the therapeutic aspect of the HSG film is also known. It is possible to open small adhesions in the tubes by administering contrast material. For this reason, pregnancy can occur without any other medical intervention after the HSG.
Just as our specialist doctors perform the HSG scan in our center, your gynecologist who follows up on your condition can also come and perform the scan if requested by you.
During the procedure, approximately 10-15 cc of contrast material is administered into the uterus through the vagina. The uterus is filled with this material and the contrast material passes through the tubes and spreads into the abdominal cavity.
The procedure is incorrectly described as very painful. If there is no problem in the tubes or uterus, the extraction is completed in a very short time and no significant pain is felt.
